4th Annual Future of English Schools (and School Owners) in Japan Workshop

“Shinpai to Solutions: How to Stay Proactive and Positive in Uncertain Times.”

This event has evolved each year, and 2025 is no different. We will move towards a more collaborative and discussion-based format. We will still have Spotlight Presenters in the morning sessions, but afternoon discussion sessions will/may include:

1. Business Administration and Team Building

2. AI Concerns and Opportunities

3. Extracurricular Programs

4. Retirement Planning, Investments, and Revenue Diversification

5. Differentiation from Juku and Online Competition

We will do our best to record all session and discussions for review later.

*There will be no online option this year.

Japanese-Language Parallel Conference

A Japanese-language conference will also be held at ELF Kids English School, just down the street.

Some topics will overlap, while others will be unique to the Japanese event.

As with the English-speaking conference, recordings will be provided to all participants after the event.

-When you see the dog, you’ve arrived.

-If it’s raining, please hang umbrellas on the railing outside the front door.

-Shoes are welcome inside.

-Paid parking is available nearby.

Accommodations

The venue is 150m from Omihachiman Station. Hotels are within walking distance, but book early as tourism has increased in the area.

FORMAT
This will be an in-person event, but it will be recorded. All in-person participants will receive recordings of the event after its completion. A link will be sent to your registered email.
There will be no online option this year, sorry.

LUNCH
We’ll offer a make-your-own sandwich bar with bakery fresh bread for ¥1,000, allowing participants to stay, eat, and chat informally.
You’re also welcome to eat outside. Options include:
-A large mall across the street with fast food and sit-down restaurants
-A convenience store up the street
⏰ Lunch break: ~60 minutes

SOCIAL
🎉 After the event, join us at the venue starting 6:00 PM.

This year’s social will again be catered by the incredible Indian Curry restaurant from last year! Dancing and karaoke will, of course, follow.

駐車場あり！教室の前に10台ほど駐めることができます。

-場所の大きさの関係で、参加者を24名に制限させていただきます。お申し込み先着順です。ご了承下さい。

会場にて、サンドイッチバーの提供があります。(費用は参加費に含みます！)
教室の近所のパン屋さんの食パンはふわふわですっごくおいしい❤︎ サンドイッチを食べながら参加者の皆さんとゆっくりお話ができると思います。

サンドイッチバーではなく、教室の外に行ってランチタイムを過ごすのもOkay! 近くに小さなレストランと、徒歩10分圏内にコンビニがございます。サンドイッチバーで使うパン屋さんは歩いてすぐ！

録画:
当日のイベントは録画をします。イベント参加者には後日録画が見れるリンクを送らせていただきます。このフォームにご入力いただいたEメール先に送りますので、ご確認をお願いします。

５つのトピックについてディスカッションをします。
１時間のサイクルで、最初の10~15分はプレゼンテーション(体験シェア)、45~50分は1~2つのグループに分かれてディスカッションをします。
